Titleholders

Toronto Leather Pride has a multiple titleholder system.

The Mr. Leatherman Toronto title is awarded through a rigorous judging procedure somewhat modeled after the International Mr. Leather (IML) Contest. Each year, an esteemed panel of local and international judges are chosen to fulfill this responsibility.

In 2001, the Bootblack Toronto title was added as a parallel contest. Each year an esteemed panel of local and international judges are chosen to fulfill the responsibility of choosing not just the best bootblack, but the best bootblack titleholder. The winner of the Bootblack Toronto title will go on to represent Toronto in competition at IMsLBB, IMBB or at a regional level competition.

In 2012, the Mr. Rubber Toronto and the Toronto Puppy title will be permanently added to our esteemed roster of titles.

The Mr. Rubber Toronto title is awarded through a rigorous judging procedure somewhat modeled after the Mr. International Rubber (MIR) Contest. Each year, an esteemed panel of local and international judges are chosen to fulfill this responsibility.

The Toronto Leather Pride titleholders work together as a team throughout their year.

Every year the winners of the Mr. Leatherman Toronto, Bootblack Toronto and Mr. Rubber Toronto titles give of themselves in service to our community for one year. This means frequent appearances (and bootblacking), hosting and producing events, media, fundraising, participating in HOTF / TLP events, representing their preliminary titles and representing Toronto as our “ambassadors” to the world. In short, they make considerable sacrifices in their personal lives to fulfill this service. We all benefit from this commitment.

Many former MLT and BBT titleholders continue to be involved with HOTF / TLP, in various capacities, long after their year of service as a titleholder has been completed.
